Course summary

This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small-medium building businesses. A builder is the person who coordinates the construction of a building taking responsibility for the overall completion of the job, including selected contractors, overseeing the work and its quality, and liaising with the client. The builder may also be the appropriately licensed person in the relevant state or teritory.

Entry requirements

Year 10 or equivalent & over 18 years of age. It is highly desirable to be currently employed in the construction industry and have a trade outcome or equivalent.

Prospects

Successful applicants will be permitted to supervise & manage low rise constructions. In NSW, in order to be licensed, you must also have a qualification in Carpentry or Bricklaying.
